As Uber Eats expanded in-app ads, we interviewed small restaurant owners, managers, and marketers to understand why adoption varies.
We mapped discovery and campaign setup behaviors and compared Uber Eats Ads with DoorDash Ads, Instacart Ads, and Instagram to pinpoint key friction points.
Over 12 weeks, we ran 15–20 stakeholder interviews, built restaurant-owner personas, and benchmarked competitive ad tools.
We synthesized findings into UX and product recommendations, simplifying campaign setup, clarifying budget and analytics, and improving guidance to raise adoption and ROI.

We partnered with Perplexity to better serve college students using AI for research and coursework.
Through surveys and in-depth interviews, we identified what drives trust and how students use Discover and sources compared with other AIs.
We benchmarked Perplexity against ChatGPT, Claude, and DeepSeek, then mapped the student research journey to find where confusion and distrust form.
Our recommendations focused on simplifying the research dashboard and improving transparent sources and onboarding to strengthen engagement and long-term retention.
